Hello all! I'm a hearing person (appropriate or preferred terminology for hearing or non hearing persons?).
I'm embarrassingly ignorant, but I would like to learn.

Here's my first question (but feel free to give more helpful information :)

There's a little boy who is at our house often now, and he is probably 4, and got cochlear implants a year ago I believe. He's a fantastic kiddo, friendly, good family, etc.
He is very intense physically (The best way I can describe it). He's not mean or angrily aggressive, but I'm curious if I could poll the room, and see if anyone has personal experience as a child (or with a child) with this need or compulsion to be physically intense. I only ask because I want to make sure he gets his needs met when we are around, and I don't want him to feel dismissed or judged. Anything helpful I can do to make him feel seen and understood? Things to avoid?
Thanks ahead everyone, and I look forward to learning more and gaining understanding!
-Doug
