I'm just curious as to who with a profound hearing loss use the Phonak Smartlink and do they benefit from it?

I am on the borderline severe/profound and use the smartlink. I normaly use it to listen to TV so as not to disturb others. I had the Smartlink with my Seiman's aids, now I have the Phonak Naida IX UP. With the Seiman's it was a benifit in group settings and where it was noisey. The Naida's are so much better that I don't need the Smartcom in most of those types of settings. If I didn't have it before I got the Naida's, I wouldn't get it.

I use mine for music and 1-1 situations if I happen to be speaking/speech reading. Anything over 1 other person and there is an interpreter or the group is Deaf:giggle:
