Portable Personal Music Player Recommendations Please

I'm profoundly HOH, no aids, no CI. I need a portable, personal music player. My hearing has declined to the point that I can't hear music on a room stereo or car stereo. I miss music. It helps me to unwind. I have an old Sony Walkman with ear buds but it is no good. I need something with clear sound, with adapters for full headphones. No outrageously priced stuff please, cost is a concern.

My ex is HOH and uses an iPod and Bose headphones. She uses earbuds but all Bose products produce good sound. The headphones can be kinds pricey, in the $100 range, but are worth it and come with a warranty.

She herself said she needs a new mp3 player with adapters for bigger headphones, and so I would recommend getting either Ipod Classic, or Ipod Touch, you can get them refurbished at really good prices and virtually new. Refurbished iPod - Apple Store (U.S.)
