Let's not forget that there's "hard-of-hearing" as well.

It might be best if there was a extra option that says "I don't care" and/or "I rather not say."

i m proud of being deaf... most time people ask me are u deaf or what? i say deaf most time...

I am deaf, and will always be deaf, even with the aids or cochlear implant, i still will consider myself deaf period.

I don't mind bein' called "deaf". I've seen some people sayin' about me "She is deaf". It doesn't matter, really... except don't call me "mute" thinkin' it will means that I am dumb. LOL
