Phonak ComPilot and TVLink

A problem has popped up. When I have the TVLink on, I can't hear my wife at all when she talks to me. Does the ComPilot have a mute button that allows you to turn off the TV streaming? I have looked at the specs and don't see this option.

Just push the big button in the middle, it will "disconnect" from the TVLink. Then when you want to resume listening to the TV, push that button again.

Dear Genome
May I add a little hint? Your hearing aids will automatically reduce their microphone levels if TV streaming starts. Usually this is a very good thing, but as you wrote, understanding others may require to stop the TV stream first.

You may also ask your hearing care specialist to change that microphone attenuation.

Cheers
Michael

Another idea is to buy the "Remote Mic" so she can pin it to her clothing and when she talks I would imagine her voice would over-ride the TV Link. Not sure, does anyone know?

I would also like the doorbell to connect to the compilot too!

I didn't even know about the compilot that is so neat..........but how much does it cost

If you don't have Bluetooth Connectivity there is a loop system to connect your to your TV. I have the Univox system that uses a mat that sits under my sofa or sofa cushion and I use my tele-coil to hear the TV. This system is $215 from http://tecear.com/UniVox_DLS50_Loop_Kit.htm . That man will help you with anything.

This way you don't need anything around your neck, just your telecoil on!

I also bought the Remote Mic, which I'm thinking if your wife had that on her, when she speaks to you, it might cut through the TV-Link like the phone does?

Hi, I'm new to the forum but have had the phonak tvlink s for a while and it has been awesome, but just quit a few weeks ago. I can't get it to work. The blue tooth part is fine;it just wont pair to the tv..any tv...I have tried more than one.
Can someone tell me where I can send it to get it fixed. It has really helped me.
Thanks,

How long have you had it? Did you get it from your audiologist?

over a year,
Then I'm sure it's out of warranty. If you bought it from your audiologist you might ask him/her if it's worth trying to send back to Phonak for repair (at a cost to you) or whether you should just buy a new one.

What do you mean by pairing to the TV? The ComPilot won't pair with the TVLink or the TVLink won't pair with the TV? I have one of my TVLinks plugged into my living room TV's output jack and the other one is plugged into my bedroom's cable box's output. Those are the only two ways I've "paired" my TVLinks to the TVs.

You might be able to get some input from other users of the TVLink here: http://hearingaidforums.com/
