open portals

I just put computer on and virus wear says got nine portals open and exclamation mark,all the other stuff on list had ticks so guess that bit ok.
what do I do with portals how do I close them,if that what you do with them

Do you have a strong firewall protection?

Open ports are like open doors thru your firewall. Exploitive programs (such as viruses) can take advantage of those open doors.

Sometimes specific apps require specific ports to be open. I don't know if you have apps like that.

Your antivirus software should have given you more details. Are you sure the warning is actually from your AV software and not a bogus ad made to look like a legitimate warning?

If you reboot, do you get the same warning?
 
it came on as soon as put computer on with flag..I got no apps and closed fb down sometime back...I press info but said nothing...Could something pretending be bulldog virus ware sneak on....it says my firewall ok,i don't like that this happen do you think I should get a teki look at it?..

I hope that one of our more technology advanced AD members can advise before you go to the expense of taking it to a shop.

Can you restart your computer to see if the same warning pops up again?
