They CAN bite but they rarely bite. I had a gecko that was just plain mean, but he has been the only gecko that bit me (I bought him as an adult). They are usually very docile, making them a good "first" reptile pet.

How are Gecko on learning ASL?? Is there any case of deafness in geckos??
