Hey all
My name is Janessa and I'm from Saskatchewan. I'm HOH (lost 100% of my hearing in my right ear when I was 9 aftering contracting "swimmer's ear" that never got diagnosed and then lost over 50% of my hear in my left ear from another swimming accident.) though I wear aids most of the time.
I speak English, French, Spanish, Italian and of course ASL, though it;s always interesting when I get the four...er...five mixed up. Fingers flash!
My family are all "hearies" but it's not a big deal since I wear the aids 90% of the time. I'm hoping to get some aids implanted, mainly for athletic purposes. (I hate having to play hockey deaf.)
