I'm a hearing college student studying ASL. I became interested in ASL as a kid when I met my first Deaf friend Kate. She recently passed due to leukemia and I regretted never taking the time to learn ASL. I am now seeking a bachelors in history and an interpreter certificate. I've been extremely nervous about attending Deaf events and this is my first step in trying to learn more about the Deaf community. :wave:
