I have had to have hearing aids since 01 well I lost them of course and now I had to get another hearing test. So my hearing has change drestically. I am going to college to be a sign language interpreter but now since they don't know how far in the futrure I may become deaf or not. They think it's genetic. 1st question does anyone know if it's genetic will it be a total loss? and 2 if I become deaf what jobs can I do? I have to change my major and figure out what to do know that will have good pay and possibly in demand. I want to teach parents to communicate with their deaf child or vice a versa but I don't know where to start looking. anyone know what I could do?
