That just seems very strange to celebrate Memorial Day almost two weeks later than all other Americans celebrate it. It's like celebrating the Fourth of July on the 14th of July. It kind of loses it's real meaning.

Well, it's not your fault. The American military bosses somehow messed up their calender.

Yeah, that's because we celebrate on German Public Holiday on the same time as Memorial Day that's why they postpone from those date to 8th June.
