So, here's Paizly. She only has half of one back leg...the other appendage is actually her tail. She uses it like a rutter, so it's very thick from being so muscular.
The local feral cat had kittens under our porch. One day, as she was leading them off somewhere, I saw that one was hopping more like a rabbit, than scampering like the others. I caught it, and noticed it only had half it's back legs. My theory is that the umbilical cord got wrapped around her back end, because her tail is the same length. So, figuring she couldn’t survive on her own like that, I took her in.
Then a couple years ago, she somehow broke her left thigh. Rather than putting pins in it, which would be pulled out by the way she scoots around anyway, I had it amputated at the hip. So now she only has 2 ½ legs!
