Most Popular College Sports in your state?

I'm just curious....in Iowa, the most popular is Hawkeyes in Iowa City.

Shel90, the most popular for the college itself...don't have to be specific sports variety.

Ah, another popular Iowa sports mascot? Interesting Hawkeyes and Cyclones. Most of the stores are selling Hawkeyes stuff, but Cyclones, not really much.

That's because you live by the University of Iowa.

Lots of Cyclone stuff here. Although you can certainly buy Hawkeyes here too.

I used to have a really large Cyclone fleece sweatshirt and liked to wear it for tv viewing of the Cyclones basketball. Sadly it wore out.

My husband has a resin bird house which looks just like a Cyclones cap.

I don't live by Hawkeyes. I live nearby Panthers which is Northern Iowa University. :lol:

Yeah, you're not alone. I WAS confused about Cedar Falls and Cedar Rapids before I moved here. I thought my job was in Cedar Rapids until I found out it's really in Cedar Falls which is close by my home. :lol:

Those are the most popular college sports mascots? Interesting, elephants..... most school mascots usually are hawks and eagles, some kind of birds and wild cats or dogs.
 
For South Carolina it's Clemson Tigers, USC Gamecocks, and the Citadel Bulldogs football teams.

Ramparts de Quebec Hockey is not a university sports team. They are one of the QMJHL teams. :)
 
Not sure if I can post a Canadian university team logo in here or so.. dunno if it would be really connected to the main topic at hand...
