MMA = Mixed Martial Arts as known style as Utlimate Fighting Championship and Pride Fighting Championship. I am biggest fan of MMA and wondering out there as MMA fans.

Not many friends of mine whom were fans of MMA...if anyone who knows MMA well....I would like to chat about MMA with fans anywhere here. I had been attend all UFC events at Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut and few small MMA events around Northeastern coast.

So, I thought myself - "Why not to leave the post to see what happen from Alldeaf members to response". I hope few MMA fans out there....if not, at least I still hang out at MMA forums with MMA fans.

Happy Valentne's Day, alldeaf members! Peace out. - MaxUFC

Yea!!! Huge fan here!!!! You mentioned Pride and UFC... are you familiar with Rumble on the Rock (ROTR), King of the Cage (KOTC), and K-1 as well??

Who's your favorite fighter?

I love MMA. I study Judo and Ju-Jitsu. I try to incorporate grapple into my studies but not big on Brazilian Ju-Jitsu.

I studied Judo since I was little kid and I am currently Kukyu 9th Class Yellow Belt in Ju-Jitsu.

Awesome! I study jiu-jitsu under Carlos Machado...(He's from Brazil.. has some relations to the Gracie family.) Dunno if any of you have heard of him...? Also, Guy Megzer (Ken Shamrock's protege from the Lion's Den) has his own Lions Den here in Dallas but its EXPENSIVE!!! I'm only a part time worker and a full time college student...we'll see if I can afford it after I graduate! :)

I think I have heard of Carlos Machado. My friend in Fort Worth told me about somebody there and I think that was the name. How long have you been studying?

Hello MMA fan and 2hot4you. You guys are lucky to take the class...I am past my peak. LOL

I am admiring Gracie Jiu Jitsu with grappling skills. MMA style? Chute Boxe, Brazilian Top Team and Miletich Marials Arts.

MY favorite fighters - Fedor Emelianenko. Matt Hughes, Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva and Randy Couture....yes, I knows his losses to Chuck "Iceman" Liddell as I admired his heart.

Yes on KOTC, PrideFC, UFC and K-1. Not seen small events like Shooto and read the inforamtion, results, etc.

I knew MMA will be popular when I saw UFC 3 first time in 1994. Now, we got The Ulimate Fighter series, Ultimate Night and PrideFC on FoxSports. k-1 on espn (yup repeated again and again). I am in heaven! Haha. Tough luck, Arizona Senator Cain for not able stop MMA!

Yes, I will watch PrideFC Unbreakable on Febuary 27th....Yup "Shogun" Rua will take care on Mark Coleman's Ground and Pound.

Thank you for the post. I am glad I am not alone here. :D

MMA fan, you hear about "Graice vs Shamrock" event on March 10th. Good to see Frank Shamrock is back to face Cesar Gracie (yes, another member of famous Gracie Family). Along best kickboxing Cung Le is also fighting as his frist MMA debut. I hope there have PPV for that event.

I met Frank Shamrock at Mohegan Sun Casino in Unionsville, CT for WEC's East vs West few years ago (East group won over West Group...whoo! Frank supposed face Jermey Horn at that evetn but Frank got injuried). I couldn't believe that Frank was little short guy than I am (5' 11") and nice guy. Same thing, I got goosebumped when met much shorter friendly Renzo Gracie at Grappling Tourney (known as NAGA) in Middletown, CT where Renzo's team grappled there against other teams (they swept all teams). I gotta respect on all size fighers since then. I learned : mind over size!

I've been studying for about 2 years... maybe 1 and half on and off. I've had surgery on my wrist, broken my pinkie finger, and soon at the end of the summer a another surgery is planned for my shoulder. :( So I really haven't been able to stay committed to attending classes cuz of all the surgeries. (from baseball actually). What about you? How long have you been studying? Its awesome to find other MMA fans on this forum! :D

I love Matt Hughes, Sean Shrek, Ken Shamrock (I know he's old), Yves Edwards, Kevin Randleman and Andrei Arklovski. Fedor is a frigging beast...

The Miletich team train like madmen... I've read stories about how they train.... they train like there's no tomorrow. Its pretty insane. BTT is pretty good for grappling but they're kinda weak in the stand-up category. One thing I don't like about BTT is they whine, whine, whine, whine, and whine trying to find excuses to deny their losses.... it just gets OLLLLDDDD and annoying when they whine and whine to no ends. I like Chute Boxe - they're a tough team.

I wish Kevin Randleman would leave Hammer House and learn some submission cuz he's a MONSTER... think about how unstoppable he would be if he knew how to defend submissions? He's had so many "fluke losses" cuz he simply doesn't know how to defend or get out of submissions!!! I'm like wake up!!! Learn some sub defense! Hammer House is so stubborn! :(

I purchased the PPV last month (Randy vs. Chuck III) and it was pretty good. Riggs vs. Diaz was a WAR!!!! Awesome fight.

Nonetheless, MMA is entertaining to watch!!! :D

HELL YEA!!! I can't wait to see or at least hear about who wins!!! Its gonna be awesome! I'm actually rooting for Frank... I love the Shamrock brothers!!! I'm surprised you mentioned Shamrock was only 5'11...that's not very tall. I actually met Guy Megzer one time.. he's pretty tall.. I think somewhere around 6'2 or maybe 6'3. His calfs were HUGE.

Cung Lee is AWESOME - I've seen him fight in K-1 and let me tell you ... I've NEVER see anyone fight like him. His style is so unqiue...his takedowns are FRIGGING AWESOME... almost unstoppable. I don't understand why the UFC or at least Pride hasn't called him up yet... he's entertaining to watch!

I forgot to mention a few more favorite fighters of mine... Alistar Overeem (spell?) He's AWESOME... he's soooo young and his talent is soo raw... only of someone would polish up his skills, he would be a HUGE force to be reckon with! He was only 23 or 24 when he fought Chuck in Pride. Even tho Chuck beat him, Alistar still gave Chuck a tough run!!

Some of my favorite fighters from K-1 are Jermone LeBanner and Remy Bonjesky. I like Hoost and Aerts but they're old and I know they will be retiring pretty soon... Bob Sapp is a joke. Cro Cop rules -- speaking of Cro Cop, he actually gave Fedor a hell of beating but Fedor, like I said earlier, is a beast and still won!

What are your predictions for Pride 31: Unbreakable??

Here are mine...
1.) Josh Barnett vs. Kazuhiro Nakamura = Probably Josh cuz Nakamura is still young and inexperienced compared to Josh. I don't like Josh at all but I think experience will be a factor in this one.
2.) Quentin Jackson vs Dong Sik Yoon = Jackson, Pride needs to stop feeding Jackson Japanese tomato cans. Easy victory for Jackson.
3.)Jon Olav Einemo vs Fabricio Werdum = Not familiar with Jon Olav so I'll pick Werdum not to mention he trains with Cro Cop so I think that might be an advantage for him.
4.)Pedro Rizzo vs Roman Zentsov = I love Pedro but he's getting kinda old so this one is a toss up.
5.)Sergei Kharitonov vs Alistair Overeem = I think this is gonna be a WAR -- probably THE war of the night. Both of them have EXCELLENT stand up skills. Pride was absolutely clever to put together this fight. I honestly cannot predict who wins this one. I like both fighters.
6.)Mauricio "Shogun" Rua vs Mark Coleman = Sure, Coleman's a legend and all that but he's OLD. Shogun is the future of Pride and he'll probably finish off Coleman. Props to Coleman for being 42 and taking this fight - that's tough of him to do.
7.)Mark Hunt vs Yosuke Nishijima = Yosuke is only 200 lbs. Mark is a PURE heavyweight professional kickboxer. If Mark can avoid the ground game, he should be able to take this one. Experience also probably will be a factor in this one for Mark. A small mismatch but not as bad as Nog and Tamura.
8.)Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs Kiyoshi Tamura = HUGE mismatch. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID of Pride to do this. Tamura has a lot of heart and is indeed a warrior but Nog is the KING of submission and he has a size advantage over Tamura. Tamura is a middle/welterweight whereas Nog is a heavyweight and he was indeed the undefeated champion for 2 years before Fedor annhilated him. Tamura is gonna give all he has, but it won't be enough for Nog. Nog'll take this one.
9.)Tsuyoshi Kosaka vs Mario Sperry = This is a pretty exciting fight. Sure they aren't the champion material and they are both old but at least its not a mismatch like Coleman vs. Rua. Both of them have excellent grappling skills, aren't afriad to slug it out, and have been around the sport since the teen days of the UFC. Nicely done by Pride.

Yeah on BTT's whined...only I likes Big and Little Nog. Arona is worst whined.

Right about Hammer House that need submission...I didn't been fan of their group for long time....funny, they were NCAA champion wrestlers?!

Whoa on Riggs vs Diaz - war! Even they got into fight again at the hostipal after the match! UFC better give them another one but this time - striker match only!

Wait....I think we better wait until "The Ultimate Fighter 3" where Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz will coach teams. That whould be more interesting than first two series?! I thought TUF1 were better than TUF2 (too many whined and Matt's S.O.B. coach that I loved!). TUF3 should be better?!

1) "Baby Face" Barnett - R 1 TKO : reason He is Pancrase Champion and well fought against Cro Cop

2) "Ramage" Jackson - R 1 KO : I wanna to see his bodyslam on Yoon what he did on Arona (whoaaaa!)

3) Werdum - R 2 TKO: agreed with your words

4) Rizzo - R 2 TKO : Rizzo have to make up for his lousy loss to Kharintonov lat time at his first Pride Debut.

5) Umm hmm (bleep) either one will be KO: that match should be MAIN EVENT! Overeem got better submission every last few matches....he could become elite fighter anytime.

6) "Shogun" Rua - R 2 TKO : simple result of "Shogun" vs Arona Grand PRix Middlewieght championship match. I did thinking it was ripped off match.

7) Hunt - R 1 TKO : Hunt was 2003 Grand Prix K-1 champion and well fought with elite fighters.

8) Nog - R1 Tap Out : no question. no answer. even no debate. LOL

9) Sperry by deicsion : TK is also good submission that can hang out with master submission Sperry.

PrideFC 31 and UFC 58

Last monday, I watched PrideFC 31 : Unbreakable. Much adrenaline show than I expected

Russia Kharitonov got shoulder dislocated and puffed face from being kneekick and pummled on his face by Holland Overeem. I must tell this Overmeem already be elite fighter now at his 22 yrs old.

What great riot of USA Coleman vs Brazil "Shogun" Rua. Coleman tookdown Rua and Rua fell awkward then end up his elbow dislocated and not pretty angled off eblow area. Coleman got Roid Rage which he throw ref off who try to break to end the match. "Shogun"'s brother 'Ninja" jumped into the ring and got heat agrued with Coleman...what worst, Rua's teammate "The Axe Murderer" Silva got in the ring and attacked Coleman...what more? Coleman's teammate tackled Silav down. There got teammates, refs, and PrideFC staffs jumped into them. That reminded me of Mike Tyson vs Hoyfield "Bit ear match" riot.

I was susprised other matches gone well distance than I picked. They got me wrong that I thought not best match list.

This saturday, I will watching UFC 58 USA vs Canada. USA! USA! Yes, I didn't pick all USA fighters over Canada fighters. I like to see Canadian George St. Pierre to whip USA B.J. Penn. UFC Middleweight champion Rich Franklin will having big test against Canada's David Loiseau...yes, I picked Franklins since he took real serious training that I saw his training on SpikeTV's UFC Access.

What? UFC 59 (next month April 15th) sold out in six hours when the tickets were on sale...host in California for first time....gee UFC become hottest tickets today. Last time , I went to UFC 55 at Mohegan Sun Casino Arean in Unionville, CT..the tickets sold out in a week...compared to UFC 35 took two months to ahve sold out as I went there at Mohegan Sun. Oh yes, I would be preapre with plenty money in my hands until UFC said UFC ** will take at Mohegan Sun Casino.

http://msn.foxsports.com/other/story/5373408

Great about UFC got on the front page of Foxsports website! MMA are more welcome today by states. New York and Maryland (who banned MMA) should read that front page. Oh yes, Connecticut don't need read since MMA can get into Mohegan Sun Casino (Indian's land where state police can't come in to arrest them..if so that would have to bring whole of state police cuz there gotta be 11,000+ fans, fighters, trainers, etc....).

I agreed with UFC that say "Why they (newtwork) put the show where the people eat donkey (balls...he mean "Fear Factor") and not let us on the show". :naughty: Yes, I enjoyed watch "Fear Factor"...you knows that Joe Rogan is also working for UFC. He did request "Fear Factor" about getting best grapplers on the mat with contest poeple....."Fear Factor" say no due afraid be lawsuit over injury. Oooh please, Fox network...don't tell me that you never watch UFC before? Grappler could put them on sleep with their rear choked submission with with a minute and they will awake and feel littlw wozzy amnd able walk their own.
