Las Vegas VS Phoenix

That's true for Vegas regarding people under 21. Been to Vegas several times myself.

Anyways, about things to do in Phx...there is Tempe Town Lake, Mill Ave, 3 waterparks, and most of all what deafies there love to do is to go tubingat Salt River or go boating at the surrounding lakes.

Ahh I see, thank you for the advice :)

Uh, I was in Las Vegas over 10 times for visiting my families there, and there's lot of things to do for under 21 there too. Like the roller coaster in New York New York, Stratosphere, etc. Also there's lot of shopping around. Circus Circus have good place for arcades where under 21 can go, also they have a circus events for the audiences. There's also a Wild Wet (now shutted down or relocating I am not sure) where people go for swimming.

There is many things under 21 people can do in Las Vegas beyond the gamblings/casinos.

I know many things about Las Vegas, except the deaf community there. That is a problem and it is what makes me avoid from Las Vegas because of lack deaf communities there.

Now, about Phoenix, I know there's good deaf communities there, but they don't have much fun activities like Las Vegas do.

That's why I am undeciding about which Las Vegas or Phoenix??

Well, you know Las Vegas better than me. lol Only been to Vegas for a week.....

Aww, you should have asked other people what's the best for underage in Las Vegas. Oh wellie, but I am happy that you have touched Las Vegas ;)

i noticed most deaf people want live in sin city or follow where most deaf live whereabout but it not worth it because you must think for yourself and your life is need like 2 or 4 seasons, any health reasons, good jobs there no matter you like. i dont follow deaf's way period lol, i really like here is Arizona because of weather, golf, bike on hiking that we want something to do than go L.V. just sit and blow out all your money gone lol. east coast not worth it, i live there for 37 years. Here wow very nice place to live, cheap houses! Arizona is 4th place of U.S. thousand peoeple move in arizona from FL. and CA., some states too. i refused move out ever again smile. i heard that Mesa is growing faster number 1! i just shock lol i dont believe but i saw more, more building houses, stores and mall so faster than in Mass. First of all, I didn't follow any deaf people in Las Vegas or Phoenix. I have families who live in Las Vegas and want to know about the deafies in Las Vegas and Phoenix. The reason why I want to move to Las Vegas is because I like the city and the weather. Phoenix's weather is not that different compare to Las Vegas.

Thank you for the explaination about Arizona :D Sounds a nice place.

The only problem about picking Phoenix or Las Vegas is that Phoenix have a very good deaf community, but Phoenix are not so lighten up at night or fantasically city like Las Vegas. Las Vegas is more like "neon fair" and Phoenix is more natural activities.

Hard to pick uh?

As for me, I wouldn't want to live in PHX or Vegas. PHX's weather in summer -- ohhh, boy it is goin' to be hot for me. Blah.

As for Vegas, I don't like tooo many casinos out there. Too much lights. Blah

Good luck with your new city ( PHX or Vegas ). :)

At least you can fry eggs in the scorching sun in either cities in the middle of the summer. ;)

I wouldn't suggest either because it's tooo hot there and if I live there I would miss the coniferous trees and the pine fresh air. ;) I'm a treehugger, so you know. Maybe you're not a treehugger, so I think u'll probably do fine there.

I learned from a friend told me that, when A/C was invented...the population in Phoenix and Las Vegas boomed because A/C is great for people to keep cool.

move to north AZ then. Pine in there, I'm sure. Of course.. small city... how bore. :)

I would live Las Vegas over Phoenix :)

LOL So, are you goin' to move to LV for real after you see ADers picked LV than PHX ? :D

Haha not that fast. I am still undecided because I like both Phoenix and Las Vegas. But I also possible like Texas too, and New Mexico are the bottom of my dream state list. We will see which will I pick, it's hard.

Aww ... I know it is hard. I have my own problem, too when I want to MOVE to Alaska, but things pop up and postpone my plan for Alaska. Grrr :giggle: I have to wait for the RIGHT time. I love Alaska and thought Alaska is sooo beautiful to me. I fell in love with Alaska, because of its beauty and all the mountains around. They are very awe. :D

I know everyone is different and which state they like. Just take your time. :)

El Paso would be nice, but I prefer Austin because I know some people there.

I understand about Alaska, it's very beautiful there, the big city Anchouage(sp?) get my eyes laid on with those foresty cloudy mountains behind the city. My anut live there, but not at that city, she live in some island far south of Alaska around Juneau. I would like to live in Alaska because they legalized marijuana just at home, very beautiful natural area, and have a big mountain, I heard it was the second highest mountain in the world behind Mt. Everst in Asia. I know some of people who had and planning to move in Alaska too, but what's fear me from Alaska is that they are FAR too cold.

Austin? They're awful humid in long running. Of course, great deaf community, big whoops, they're total weird, which is city's motto - "Keep thing weird". :)

Haha same with Portland. Some people post the sticker on the cars "Keep Portland Weird!".

Which place did you live in Texas?

I don't know anything about deaf communities in either cities. I would pick Phoenix over Las Vegas as I don't like the fact that gambling cities would attract undesireable people.

I rather not live in Phoenix because too hot in summer. I rather not live in Las Vegas because gambling, etc are very tempted. Gambling, etc can ruin your budget.

both cities are hot and dry are better than hot and humid.
