las vegas-are you gambling person?

I had never been to vegas until a few weeks ago. A couple buddies and I got met up out there for a long weekend (Thurs. night-Sunday Night).

I don't really care for gambling either, I figure I work too hard for those dollars just to piss them away. But I wanted to learn to play Craps (the dice game) so I read up on it and had fun playing.

I lost 100 the first night, won 220 the next night, won and lost a bit more the last day and ended up netting about 30 bucks. Plus when you are gambling out there the cocktail waitresses bring you drinks non-stop for free. FUN STUFF :)

I LOVE Vegas !! I've also been to Reno. Am making a trip to Deadwood, SD later this summer. I collect a $1 coin from each new casino I go to, and I have about 30 right now, so I've been to quite a few casinos. That includes some in Aruba, Niagara Falls, Foxwoods, all over the US. So yeah I'm a gambler :)

do you mean Cirque du Soleil ? i love that ! i saw Cirque du Soleil's "O" in Vegas. wow. i love it. i wud love to go back to Vegas again for different shows under Cirque du Soleil. I am not a gambler but i do play some for fun.

Oh yes, the Cirque du Soleil shows are awsome, "Mystere" at Tresure Island is my favorite Cirque du Soleil. My favorite has to be Phantom at the Venetian- incredible show with incredible acting.

All my reasons for going to Las Vegas are entertainment and not gambling.

I've been to local casinos for their buffet!

Don't like to gamble. I find the slots boring, too.

I'll have fun spending money on games to win prizes at the NYC place, though.

I might come back to Vegas someday again for a short visit and make sure I get to experience Cirque (sp?) show and see the Grand Canyon by helicopter.

Also don't forget about Hoover Dam, it is about 15 miles away from Las Vegas. It's worth it.

Last February, I went to Las Vegas, and I didn't gamble. I spent about $350 for 4 days in Vegas. If I gamble, I'll spend 4x more.

i play small stakes poker online, and i have a few friends who have a homegame from time to time. My ultimate dream is to one day win a bracelet at the world series of poker

I'll have my own Las Vegas here at home by either joining or hosting poker tournament. good times!

Casinos are BORING. I don't get it. I don't understand what's so fun about sitting in a smoky casino next to a grandmother on oxygen...while staring at this machine as it rolls cherries and weird pictures. Whoo hoo. Not.

Let me tell you some awesome stuff do to in Vegas. Go to Mandalay Bay and check out the cool Shark Reef they got. Or to the Mirage and check out the Dolphin exhibit. And guys (and lesbians, I guess) - check out the Bare pool...oh yea, they mean "bare." I went there thinking it was BEAR pool (as in the animal) because it is right next to the dolphins. BIG oops. If you like the beauty of outdoors, check out Red Rock where you can go horsebackriding, rockclimbing, hiking, biking, walking, etc. It is breath-taking. Don't forget to check out the Fremont Experience lights starting at 7 PM and has intervals ..and each time the light show is different! Belligio has a cool water/light show that starts at 7 PM and goes on every 20 minutes. Deafies, be sure to stand right next to the music speaker box so you can feel the music in sync with the water show.

Casinos? Pffffft. Gambling? Pfffft. There's much more to do! :D (And don't ask me how I know Las Vegas so well. ;) ).

I'm not a gambler but yeah, I do know how to play blackjack and things like that.

As for Vegas itself, I've never been there. I've always wanted to go there, not for the casinos but for their fine cuisine and to see the strip. Also, Cirque du Soleil is a must for me. I've seen their shows on the television and I was in awe. Of course, watching it in live makes it much worthwhile. That's the next to-do thing on my list. :)

Great shows: Ka, "O", Zumanity (Northstar will LOVE this show), Blue Men (that was kind of weird, cool, and gross all at once), etc. ;)

I don't gamble. It might be fun to go to some of the Vegas shows.

I've never been to Las Vegas but Hubby was there briefly. He was at nearby Nellis AFB for a nuclear attack exercise. They had one afternoon and evening off, so he and some other guys took the bus to Vegas. They had dinner and strolled the Strip under the bright lights but they didn't go to any shows or casinos. It was the "old" Vegas of the Sands, Elvis, the Rat Pack, and Crime Story--very nostalgic. :P

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. That's the story he told his wife!!!!!!

LOL! Yea!! I DANCE WON!! I just put $20.00 in slots and HIT JACKPOT!!! I won $12,000.00 Last Feb. I bought new all furniture in my living room and all DEBT out other bills, also saving for new TV flat 45 or 50 inch soon.

I like slots! I am PRO SLOTS! not poker! chick!!

Maybe Next year My husband and I go fly to Las Vegas for Our 10th anniversary.

lucky :)

if i win 12,000.. i'm gonna to split it up: charity and debt (6,000 each).

Not a gambling person and don't even think Las Vegas sounds like fun. To spend that much money, I would just buy something big for my home that I can keep. Like big screen tv, or PS3 gaming system.

Same here .... my hubby & I prefer to spend on practical items for our home. :)

Here's an interesting trivia...

In Las Vegas... there's a ratio of 1 slot machine for every 8 residents.
