Hey all, I'm from New Zealand, and was born with congenital deafness. However, it was out of the blue and with no explanation, as there is no history of it whatsoever in the family tree on either side. I am at least 90% deaf in my right ear and 50% in my left ear. I use a hearing aid in just the left ear.
But aside from that, I'm just sailing through my final year of university with an undergraduate BA in history, which hopefully should see my graduation in December this year. My specific favourite parts of history are the Victorian era, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, and WW1 (especially WW1!). I try to collect WW1 postcards when I can, but being a "destitute student ", I'm afraid those are far and few in between.
I really do hope that I shall enjoy my time on these boards in the future to come!
