I am definitely more likely to buy deaf shirts and jokes from a fellow Deaf member. 
So long as of course you're not charging $100 bucks a pop for them and everything, there can be business in it, definitely. There are a lot of people who would go for it, especially if you take customizing orders and all that too when you start to grow a bit or even when you're just starting out... either or. 
Either way, going into business for yourself is a good thing but also a risk... a calculated risk but this isn't anything that would cost you an arm and a leg to start up if you know where to look for the equipment. :P I say if you want to start it up, go for it. :P I'll throw some business your way to help you get started. You can always open up an ebay account and start selling some that way to get started which is low cost. Good luck to you!
