Yes it is much easier to use paintshop but it also limits you in what you can do, at least Paint Shop Pro 7 does. I haven't tried any of the new versions.

I still use Paint Shop Pro for quick edits but I use Adobe Photoshop for serious work.

I did all of the design work on my site, you can see a few of the images here:

Just a few examples, those are individual images from the site design so they may seem cut off but they look good on the site.

You get the idea. Photoshop costs money so if you can't afford it, a good free alternative is GIMP. You can find it on Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com, just search for GIMP.
 
Photoshop for me! It's all about your preference.
 
Adobe Photoshop CS2 n Adobe Illustrator CS2 & Macromedia Freehand 8 (and its studio) Rocks.

Definitely illiterate with the Corel Paint Shop Pro.
 
Now, you bumped the old thread then whatever.

I don't use windows anymore except for use vista on games, plus I'm Mac user now.

I'm looking on Adobe Photoshop right now, probably get one later.

PSP is just good for basic, not offers so enough.
 
Adobe for Glossies; Macromedia for the Web

As a professional web designer, I have always preferred Macromedia products (geared for the serious web designer). Macromedia was (and still is) the best programming for all kinds of internet users (dial-uppers included).

Macromedia's Fireworks was definitely designed with web-related designing in mind.

Adobe's Photoshop has been traditionally geared towards graphic design - not web design. When Adobe came out with Photoshop 5.5, they also released it with ImageReady (a sucker like me thought I should be versatile). Macromedia still came out better for me - as a web designer.

Unfortunately, Adobe bought Macromedia. Currently, Adobe has no real competitor(s) to keep 'em on their toes.

Just my two cents.
 
I have PSP 10, and it's better than photoshop if you're trying to clean up an image and make it look as nice as possible. I use PS and AI at school in my graphics class though, and they do have some really neat filters I wish PSP had.
