I was searching for a different app when I came upon ISY.

This is beyond cool! Check out Google Play Store. I really did not think it would be worthwhile but my curiosity made me try it. I had just downloaded it and a truck drove by on our rural road which I did not hear until I saw these beautiful concentric rings telling me there was a sound! Then I tuned in and heard it.

This will be a really great tool to help deaf/HOH people with their hearing kids, train their dogs to alert to different sounds and so much more. So amazing!!!

Cool! I get irritated with the fact that I don't hear a siren until the vehicle is almost on me.
 
Yes, same thing happens to me. It would have also really helped in the past when my service dog invisibly whined in public but I could not tell. Great tool!
 
Does anyone know if there is an sound detecting app that does this for iPhones? I can do a search, but wondered if anyone had found one they use and liked. Thanks!
