Is it comes from alldeaf.com ?

I got one too, I think it from one of the sponsor here in Alldeaf cause it says " The generosity of our sponsor helps make AllDeaf possible " :dunno:

It's just one of our sponsors who was kind enough to support AllDeaf.

Alex, will we be receiving more of these e-mails?

If so, I would like to opt out of receiving them, since generally I feel that these kinds of e-mail fill my mailbox with unnecessary clutter. Do we have an option of disabling sponsor notices?

I realize you have a gross margin and bottom line to deal with, but I would very much prefer if your sponsors reached me through a different channel (like the i771.com link you have up here -- I feel much more comfortable about that). I have very strong feelings about the invasion of my inbox with commercial messages.

i concur with endy, lets have them just adveriste on the board where more exposures are, and not in e mail boxes. it just clutters and deviates the most important emails on the bottom of the * rack* so we need our cleanliness of the emails. especially when it comes to deleting anf filtering junk mails.

Honestly, it don't bother me, because if they were one of AD sponsors who support AllDeaf, then I wouldn't mind reading those emails myself...

If you would like to be removed from the mailing list, please PM me your email address and I'll go ahead and do so. But before you do that, think about this for a minute:

1.) Sponsors help with the bills that keep AllDeaf free to you guys.
2.) Sponsors help with the contests where we give away valuable stuff to the winner(s).
3.) I'm picky when selecting sponsors, so it's not like they're sending junk, like porn links.
4.) I rarely send out sponsored emails and newsletters.

There are several ways for an organization to support AllDeaf, and one of them is via sponsored email. You, as a member, the least you can do to support AllDeaf is by just checking these sponsors out every once in a while, and either you try 'em out or not -- whatever.

Advertisements can be a hassle, I know, but I'd rather have them around AllDeaf than having to charge people to become members and be able to use all the features available here. I was recently told by the datacenter that the reason AllDeaf has been crashing lately is because the CPU load is so high that I need to upgrade. That means I'm going to have to get a powerful server soon to prevent the crashes from happening, and it ain't cheap.

Ok, enough with my babbling, sorry. Like I said, PM me your email address if you wish to be removed from the mailing list.
