Introducing Marc from the UK

Hi Folks,

My name's Marc from sunny Torquay in the UK.

I'm just getting to know the deaf community as one of my good friends, Laura, went deaf 3 years ago from a brain tumour, at aged 28.

We are currently working at building a website and forum, along with other disabled people, with the intention of making it raise funds to enable them to have operations abroad that are not available in the UK, and thought that I may be able to get some advice from here.

Thanks for the friendly welcome folks.

This forum seems to be a lot more active than the ones that I've tried in the UK.

I'll see if I can get some content added to contribute. Plus I'll see if I can get Laura to take a look and join up herself too.
