I am a newcomer, so be nice :)

I am a hearing student in Chicago, I'm doing a double-major between Interactive Arts and Media and Journalism with a minor in ASL. I'm a freshman, so I still have a lot to learn about Deaf Culture, ASL, etc.

I'm in the class Deaf Culture, which I am really enjoying. My instructor is a graduate student and he's a pretty awesome guy. An assignment for the class is to interview a deaf person, and I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to answer a few questions for me? I completely understand if you are not interested, but I would greatly appreciate you helping me better understand the complex and interesting culture you have.

I know there are -a lot- of questions, and I'm sorry about that. My instructor came up with the first 15 questions, and I came up with the last five. Please try to answer in more than one word questions, I want to get to know you a little bit. :D Please also leave your name. If you answer them all, I will owe you some cookies next time you're around Chicago!

If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me at mishleaub@gmail.com

Questions:

Make ASL mandatory in all Deaf education programs..eliminate oral-only programs.

Dont really have a favorite..just like a lot of movies.

That people ask me if I can drive and if deaf people have sex.

18.) Do you have any nicknames for hearing people?
Hearies or Audists (for those who look down on the deaf way of living)

19.) What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?
