I happened to come across this interesting article on NY Times and thought I would share with you all -

Personally I don't know how much Apple products have been beneficial for the deaf, other than introducing CC in iTunes, iPad, etc. but I believe they could do better.
 
It's also affordable, much friendly. Perfect for my little brother. he need one than rather use mouse. It's pain-in-ass.
