How do deaf people get adequate medical information in pharmacies? I manage a retail pharmacy and have worked in many others, and not only have I never had a deaf patient, but I have no idea how I would easily counsel one. What are your experiences?

I used to buy a copy of the PDR, but now everything is accessible online so it's easy. I rely on my own intelligence.

I handle all of the prescriptions for both my MIL(9 each month) and my mother (4 each month). For the first 2 months, I had a note for the pharmacist on what I was needing and all the relevant information. Now, after 2 years, they know me well and we have no problems. If they have any instructions for me to pass on, it is already written down. They keep pen and paper available if needed.

Lipreading and so far I have had no problems.
