I spent most of my day having my hearing tested about 4 or 5 times. After all the results came back the same, the audiologist's first words were "I'm sorry, but it appears your former doctor overlooked your hearing loss for quite awhile." After staring at her, speechless for five minutes, I asked, by her estimate how long. Her response was "it's almost impossible to know but in your file, are hearing test from as early as 2000 that indicate you should have begun wearing hearing aids then".
Is this something other doctors have overlooked on others, or was mine just an idiot? I know it's too late to do anything about him now, but has anyone had a similar problem?
