How to store a unused hearing aid?

The NHS have agreed to give me a spare Naida UP aid, just in case one breaks.

Just wondering, how best to store it?
I would want to store it in my Dry and Store with battery door open.

Can they get worse if you dont wear them (not last as long)? Might sound silly but I dont know.

I keep my old hearing aid in a hearing aid case with no battery. As long as you keep the hearing aid in a dry, dust free container, it'll be fine. The Dry and Store would be fine.
