The trick is to think literally, and dont think all numbers!

When using a calculator, you can do two things depending on what you can do...

With a calculator that lets you type in the full problem plus parenthesis, you can do it this way...

(30/(1/3))+10=? or (30/0.5)+10=?

With a calculator that doesn't let you type in the full problem (such as calculators on computers), you can do it this way...

30 (press the '/' key) .5 (press the '+' key) 10 (press the "enter" key)

If you calculated 1 / 2, you would get .5 or 0.5 as the answer.
