how do you sign "rock"

as in rocking a baby or rockabye baby?

My son has been asking to be rocked. He does the baby sign for it. So I was wondering what is the actual sign for it? I looked it up but it seems like the only sign I found was "rock" as in stone.

The sign for rocking is two fingers (straight) close together in front the chest and use the other two fingers (bended) on top of the two fingers (straight) and move forward and backward (about four times) like rocking the chair. As for rockabye baby, just sign like the baby sign and then just rock forward and backward or sideways. Hope that helps.

Imitate as you are holding a baby and rocking it - that's the way to do it.
