How do you feel when you know your in a world that dose not understand you. you know they are mocking your signing hands. It like your the only one on earth. How do you feel when you are only one deaf or hoh in family and they dont sign or allow you to lip read. How do you feel aobut being deaf or hoh. All my immediate family can sign. Although we don't use sign 100 percent.
I don't pay too much attention to other people if they watch me.
Your family can not really stop you from lip reading.
I am fine with being hoh/deaf.
If your family is completely unsupportive, I advise you to get a job, get your own apartment, make friends away from your family.
If you are not always with them and relying on them, the times you just visit won't bother you so much.
