I just recently joined here I am 14 and hearing but learning ASL because I am interested in serving the deaf when I get older. Decided to join here and meet some deaf or HOH people:)
 
Serve? I am deaf, and I do not need your serve. I can do anything on my own.

I think it's a good deed for a young person to think of someone other than themselves. it's cool to have pride and want to do everything alone but sometimes pride can be dangerous. I'm 24 and was almost in a huge accident because I couldn't hear the sirens. my sister had to run a grab me because I thought I could do it all on my own. I'm new to this so some help would be nice. I use to be active duty military so I love to sever people when I'm able.
