Hi everyone, as the title says, I'm Amber.
I joined alldeaf.com in hopes of finding someone around my age to practice sign language with. I am currently a newbie at it, but I am working hard to learn. I have both skype and oovoo, as well as other chat media.
Here is a little bit about me. I am 18, soon to 19 next month. I am a freshman in college who is majoring in nutrition. I'm from a small town in Texas, though I live in the city during school (which drives me insane at times). I have been interested in learning sign language for years, but am finally taking the initiative to learn.
My mom is hard of hearing and is helping me some, but she herself is a little rusty on signing and so is relearning with me. There are many people in my family who are also hard of hearing due to otosclerosis.
Anyways, I am hoping to make friends (deaf, hard of hearing, or hearing) to practice signing with so that I can learn.
