Yep, another newbie here! So, i am not deaf or HOH, but i am here hoping to learn about deaf culture, and i am learning ASL. A few years ago, i met a woman who was deaf, and it struck me how isolated she must have felt, as nobody could talk to her (we were in the waiting area of my chiropractors office). Never again- i was raised to be friendly to everyone, no matter how different they seem. If i ever have the pleasure of meeting another person who is deaf/hoh, i want to be able to include them into my circle and have the opprotunity to make another friend.
