I'm am a hearing college student from New Jersey. I aspire to be a teacher of the deaf and possibly an interpreter. I absolutely love the language of ASL as well as learning about Deaf culture. I'm looking to meet new friends as well as learn about possible events in my area such as Deaf Coffee events. :P
 
Hello!
I just joined the site this week. I am hearing also and learning ASL to incorporate into my counseling (substance abuse, family, individual). I've just started but hope to meet people of all levels who are learning like me for Skype practice sessions (or F2F if nearby).

Have you read any books on deaf culture? I just started Oliver Sacks Seeing Voices.

Hi, I am not deaf or hard of hearing, I am a high school asl 1 student. I have just completed asl 1 and next year I will be taking asl 2. I'm looking for someone who could Skype to sign and give me more practice and interaction with the deaf culture.
