I've been away from alldeaf for a while now and I sort of feel like I ought to introduce myself again since I'm in a new situation than before. I disappeared because I am hearing and hadn't been able to do more than learn the alphabet and numbers from online resources about the Deaf community, so I felt a bit like I was forcing myself on the group (no-one here gave me that impression, don't worry =D). I'm now able to start taking ASL courses (Yay) and am in ASL 1 now so I look forward to being a much more regular visitor. Oh, if you don't hear from me much, I'm not great at coming forward with my opinions (something I'm working on) but I am always happy to converse with people. Also, I have Skype w/ video if anyone else wants someone to practice the basics with.
