Hi, i'm Manette, a deaf student from France.

I'm curious... I would like to know if yours deafs activits are gigantic in your country (CI, ASL, Cued Speech, ...).
I guess that the Cued Speech's influence is "deteriorated" in the Universty of Gallaudet, isn't it? I'm shocked, and that's why i prefer ask you here. ;)

Thanks a lot. :)

[Edit: Sorry for my english. It isn't better..]

To answer your question, it really depends on the area and where you're at. There are some mainstream schools that use cued speech, others that use SEE, and others that use ASL. Cued speech is very rare these days and normally used during speech therapy. I never really used it, but I have a friend who did learn it because of a camp that he went to. There were a bunch of cued speech users there and it helped my friend learn some.
