Hi people!
My name is Rober, I'm 20 y/o and I'm from Spain. I'll probably have a lot of grammars errors or missunderstanding, so I say sorry about that.
(I'd love you if you correct me <3)
I'm a guy who has grown up on hearing world, I got 50% of loss hearing in each ear (more or less), so I've used to say "I'm half deaf" but I've never known how was the properly way to say it. (Probably Hard of hearing(?)).
No, I don't know any sign language, I just got interested 3 weeks ago, but there's nothing of info on internet about SSL(Spanish sign language) but on the other hand I got a lot of info about ASL, because of that I just found this deaf forum and I discovered a lot of stuff about deaf community.

Yes, 'hard of hearing ' is used often in English. On this forum you will see it as HOH. ASL will work fine for you and there is a lot of it on youtube. I mean, it is a visual language of gesture so it does not 'translate ' from English. That said, it is most common here in USA. Here is a great place to start!

I'll start with ASL as soon as I finish my exams, thank you very much!
