First off, I must admit that I am fascinated by Deaf culture. It really puts the world in a new perspective for me.
I decided to do biotechnological research in the deaf world. I want to immerse myself in Deaf culture and collaborate during my research. I am not here to "fix" anything because there is nothing wrong with Deafness! However, I am here to learn more about deafness and Deaf culture. I hope to use the knowledge I learn to develop tools and software so deaf-individuals can interact more efficiently in the world of the hearing.
