Write to your Congress people to get this legislation passed. Passage would be one step closer to closing the gap between insurance companies not paying for hearing aids but will pay for a CI. Passage would be more probable than if NAD alone tries to get this done because 95% of the clientele of hearing aid centers are hearing peoples' hearing going bad.

I went ahead and did it and sent it.

I am sure you noticed, but it is only $500 every five years. And it is for people over 55 years and those buying hearing aids for children.

This will not actually help me or a lot of people here at AD.

We will all be 55 at some point, but it may not be helpful now.

Ooops, thanks, Botti; I haven't gone to the site yet, I was paraphrasing what the folks at the hearing aid center said to me yesterday when my wife needed her BTE tubing replaced because of condensation build-up.

While I am here, I will say that, through my health care plan (Kaiser), I am allowed $1,000.00 towards a new hearing aid and pay the difference, if there's any. Not many outfits offer this.
