Help with the Healthcare educators

Hi,
My name is Dana. I am gathering information to present to a group of medical hearing people that deaf people can be successful as health care providers too. I'm looking for challenges deaf students face when applying to college programs, what happens when they are accepted the challenges, and how accommodations are managed. Any help is appreciated.
 
Umm.... Well, I am Deaf... I am currently a P.A. and work in triage. I had no issues getting along. I had a terp when I needed one, I also had a C.I. done as well. My teachers were very helpful with anything I needed and very patient. I think it just takes patient teachers and an understanding staff, that's all. Too bad that's terribly difficult to find for most... I got lucky.
