The Jean Massieu School has been a wonderful source of comfort, encouragement and high quality education for Deaf children in Utah for the past several years. However, the lack of financial and community support has led JMS to fall into the danger of closing down.

YOU can make a difference for JMS, their students, and future generations of Deaf children.

Here's how you can help:

1. Encourage other people you know and your family to collect and donate the following items to JMS:
a. Boxtops for education
b. Cream of Weber milkcaps
c. Used ink cartridges
d. Used cell phones (if you're Deaf, surely you can ask hearing people in your family or at work, grin)

2. Volunteer to help out at JMS on a regular basis. We have plenty of small and big tasks that always need to be done.

3. Send monetary donations to JMS

a. ALL donations are tax-deductible
b. Checks may be written out to JMS
c. Even donating $1 can make a difference
d. Send the checks to

Yes it is still open. It recently relocated right to downtown Salt Lake City across from the city hall at the old library.
