http://www.ancestry.com/

Which those some of software... quite good but depend if your taste prefer!

I've been working there and stopped for while I need a break few while...
Reason I'm researching my birth-father's family background history "family tree" which I got email from my 5th cousin who live in usa and knew about vosper-wollenszine coming from europe and moved in usa/canada... Still not found some of pieces missing.. Still working on it not yet.. Right now, I'm on break for temporary...

Xandieboy, Wishes you have great luck!

I use the Familytreemaker software. It is a great tool for keeping everything organized. But it is not cheap.

Ancestry.com is a good site but again, not cheap. I used to be a member of that.

The Mormon site is free and it is a useful resource. Just don't take the information at face value though. Try to double check the information you get from there with another source. I have found several mistakes in their data base. But it is still a good starting point.

If you have some information about ancestors who arrived in the U.S. via Ellis Island, they have a good data base.
