Hello,

I am not deaf, I am having a hearing problem that is very odd. I am unable to find info about it so i thought maybe someone here would know or know where to look.

i am 36, female and from Canada.

i currently have trouble with low pitch sounds, like i don't hear mens voices as well. The deeper the sound the more like a mumble it sounds. The part that is very strange though is that i get this weird thing happen in response to certain types of sound. If someone rattles metal, like silverware, together, or the booming bass from a passing car stereo... i get this feeling like painful tapping in my ear. it's awful.

i have had this for years but i honestly thought that was normal. i thought everyone responded to some sounds that way.

i intend to see a doc about it at some point but i would like to find out anything i can now.

thank you for taking the time to read this.

:welcome: to Alldeaf! Have fun browsing and posting! :)

Welcome! My advice is to see a doctor sooner rather than later. You may have a very hard time trying to find ou tanything, if you do not know what the source of the problem is.

Hello and welcome to Alldeaf! Like Lillys dad suggested, it would be most helpful once you see a specialist to know what is the problem and go from there..hoping it all goes well also. Meanwhile, hope you'll enjoy your stay here in AD! :)

Have a great day!
