My name is Doug. I do NOT have a survey or questions to answer for my class! I am a student though. I found this site on my own and joined because I am interested in your language and culture. I am currently taking ASL, but I am a Sociology major. While I have found ASL to be the most difficult course I've encountered, it is also the most enjoyable.
I do not want this to be a course I finish and forget. I want to become truly fluent in ASL and well versed in the Deaf culture. With any luck, I will make some friends along the way. I would love to chat or Skype (I could certainly use the practice) with anyone who feels like talking about anything!
The basics about me: I am a hearing full time student, medically retired from the Army. I am not the hard core conservative you expect from someone with that background though!
