Hi,
My name is Jude. I have been deaf since birth. totally deaf in left ear and partial deaf in right, with a hearing aid, can hear pretty good, maybe up to 85% or so. I am 43 yrs old. I can lip read some. I am embarrassed to say that i cannot sign.
My mother took me to a speech therapist for a few months and now my speech is so good that most people cant even tell I am deaf, which is a problem, because then i have to explain to them I am deaf.
