Hello all,
I'm hearing and have just started learning ASL from the Lifeprint website for the past month, looking for opportunities to immerse myself as much as possible. I'm thirtysomething and my hobbies and interests include video games, sci-fi and fantasy TV, books, and movies, anime, and the occasional Ren Faire (in fact my first real-life exposure to ASL interpreters was through observing the interpreters for Moonie and Broon at the Pleasure Faire, if you're familiar with them). My ultimate goal is to become an interpreter someday, but for now, without any formal training, I just want to meet Deaf and HoH folks and other ASL learners and make new friends. I'm in this for a lifetime of learning.
I'm not sure my webcam is up to snuff, but I'm willing to give it a test with anyone who might want to chat with me
