This is not how I do at the funerals for a few of my friends who passed on. But since I used to write and spoke at my mom's funeral. She's not deaf but I altered the words below but I do not add those at my mom's funeral. It is not a poem, but a description of what we feel and how we write, it brought tears and hugs and remembrance. I will continue to write some papers for some deaf parents or hearing children of deaf parents. Sorry to hear about your mom.

My Mother Is A Loving Deaf Person. (always use present tense except for when you was taught or in the past years when you was little as she is next to you, I changed because I used to put down "My Mother Is A Very Special Woman.")
My mother is a loving deaf person, she taught me one
thing and again another thing. The signs she taught me
I can talk to deaf people. My mother was there for me,
she cried when she saw me at birth, she cried when she
saw me fall down when I take my first step, and the tears
she had mean she cares about me. My mother is a loving,
deaf person, she taught me respect toward a deaf community.
My mother was there for me, she took in prides for a job well done.
She hugs me and gives me a lot of kisses. My mother is a loving,
deaf person, she taught me sign languages and she encouraged
me to understand a deaf culture. A deaf mother like her is the
same as any mother who is NOT deaf. She put the rules just like
any other mother. My mother is a loving, deaf person and
I love her very much.
