Hello! My name is Kate. I'm a senior in high school. I joined this website because I have been learning ASL for three years and now feel comfortable enough with the language to try to have conversations in it and make friends with people in the Deaf community.
I'm very self conscious about... well, everything, especially the idea of communicating with someone who is fluent in a language I am not completely fluent in.
So this is definitely putting me out of my comfort zone.
If anyone wants to skype with me so we can chat eventually, that would be totally cool.
One of the projects that my ASL class did this year was to interpret a song of our choice into ASL and record it. Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think! Criticism is always good.
