Hi everyone!
I'm a hearing woman. I have always been interested in learning ASL and meeting deaf/HOH men and women. A year ago (when I lived up north) I took an introductory ASL class, so my ASL is still very limited. I now live in South Florida and I currently work with young children with developmental disabilities (mostly autism). Most of our young kids are non-verbal, and we implement some ASL to help create that bridge of communication from within their non-verbal world out to ours.
I look forward to getting to know all of you on here. I also hope to get to know future deaf/HOH friends who are also here in South Florida.
Alessia
