Hello! My name is Lisa. I have always been interested in sign language. Growing up, my best friend until the 5th grade was deaf. Unfortunately, my family moved away and we lost contact... Now, as an adult and parent of a 6 year old who has Autism and is non-verbal, I'm in the process of learning ASL @ a local community college. Very nice to meet you all!
to AllDeaf forum. Just have to move on when you can not find a friend from your past any more. Sign language is good for learning to communicate with Deaf/Hard of Hearing people.
